Well clearly we need to keep writing on our blog in 2012. As we take a look back on 2011, from a website marketing and SEO perspective, one thing we tell our clients over and over again is – add new, unique, and compelling content to your website as often as you can. This is still an incredibly important factor in search engine rankings.
We will share that two of our services clients had fairly small and simple websites for years and years, and the traffic levels were really showing signs of leveling out. As SEOs, we expect to see nice incremental gains in traffic year over year, and these clients simply didn’t have the time or energy to update their own websites.
Well – they did finally – and the results have been astounding – over a 100% increase in traffic to their websites year over year- and targeted traffic at that. So, if you’re stuck, and traffic is not growing, we suggest adding a blog and writing about your company, you experiences, you expertise – and the results might amaze you.
Of course looking at our own blog, we see we haven’t updated it in a while, and we’re going to try to practice what we preach. We’ll be adding our state of SEO report in the coming days, along with some predictions on where SEO is headed, and online marketing in general.
